“Up To Date” Podcasts – Episode 2

A regular short update of the most important developments in the property law world brought to you by our Junior barristers.
In each 15 minutes episode, they will look at the new laws and procedures coming into force, Court of Tribunal operations, and any changes on the horizon. In the second half of the episodes, they will also summarise and discuss a selection of new judgments for you to stay “Up To Date”.
This week, Katie Gray and Diane Doliveux analyse the recent Court of Appeal decision in Trecarrell House Limited v Rouncefield [2020] EWCA Civ 760, take a look at an exception to the blanket stay on possession proceedings under PD51Z, and discuss recent decisions and guidance from the judiciary to lawyers about how and when other cases will be heard, how they should be listed and when a paper determination might be appropriate.
