Tenancy

Tanfield is recruiting juniors to join its busy team of real estate practitioners.

We particularly encourage barristers returning to work after a period of absence from the Bar.

Applications are particularly welcome from barristers of between 3 and 10 years’ call.
Tanfield is a leading set in property law and a ‘force to be reckoned with’ across all aspects of commercial and property law. We have unrivalled experience in landlord and tenant, enfranchisement and service charge issues.
High demand for our members means that applicants can expect a busy and thriving practice from the outset.

We offer:

  • a competitive rent structure
  • a generous parental leave policy
  • a fully integrated IT system that allows for seamless working between home and Chambers
  • the opportunity to share ownership of the freehold building from which we practise.

Chambers is committed to continuing to build a diverse and inclusive membership and welcomes applicants from underrepresented groups.

More information on the full application process can be viewed here.

Applications, which will be treated in the strictest confidence, should be sent to recruitment@tanfieldchambers.co.uk.

Those interested in applying are encouraged to contact Walter Womersley (CEO) or Daniel Dovar for an informal and confidential discussion.

Equal Opportunities

Tanfield Chambers is a firm believer in equal opportunities and we consider all applications for pupillage, tenancy or administrative positions on merit – regardless of age, sex, sexual orientation, gender-reassignment, race, colour, ethnic or national origin, nationality, religion or belief, marital or civil partnership status, maternity or pregnancy or disability and encourage and welcome applications from those who are under-represented at the bar.
