Service Charge Summit 2014

30th Sep 2014

The Second Service Charge Summit, hosted by News on the Block and Tanfield Chambers, will take place on 30 September 2014.

There has been plenty of activity in the service charge world in the past twelve months, and the service charge summit is the perfect opportunity to catch up on and consolidate your knowledge of the law in this specialist and technical area.

This year’s summit builds on the success of last year, and is designed to provide an interactive environment relevant to all who are involved in residential service charges as landlords, tenants, managing agents, surveyors and lawyers.

The programme for 2014 will cater for all levels of knowledge and experience. For those just beginning their service charge career, there will be two introductory workshop sessions. The more experienced will enjoy discussions on a topics including rentcharges, the more advanced aspects of consultation, and costs.

The summit will be led by barristers from Tanfield Chambers, many of whom have appeared in the high profile service charge cases of recent times. Their expertise ranges from the First-tier Tribunal to the Supreme Court, and is further evidenced in contributions to the Estates Gazette; editing the Landlord and Tenant Review, on-line updates and, most notably, in the third edition of “Service Charges, Law and Practice”, which was published on 31 December 2013.

Your ticket includes networking drinks after the conference in the reception area of the venue.
