Junior Landlord & Tenant Conference 2018

Tanfield Chambers’ Junior Landlord and Tenant Conference returns for its fifth year.

Tickets are now available, email events@tanfieldchambers.co.uk to book your place.

This ever popular event provides junior lawyers with the opportunity to update their knowledge across commercial and residential landlord and tenant law.

As in previous years, the content of the event is tailored to junior practitioners. Delegates will be able to choose from a number of different workshops, which will each cover practical issues that are most likely to arise within a junior landlord and tenant’s practitioner’s caseload. The subjects will cover both commercial and residential issues giving the delegates the opportunity to focus on either or both. At the end of the day, delegates will also have the opportunity to ask Tanfield barristers (including QCs) questions about points arising within their own practices within a question and answer session.

The full programme will be announced in the coming weeks.

Topics will include:

  • Opposing lease renewals: best practice and tactics under Landlord and Tenant Act 1954;
  • Commercial dilapidations;
  • How to avoid the common pitfalls in recovering possession of ASTs created by the Deregulation Act 2015;
