Launch of CML Legal e-zine in association with Tanfield

We are delighted to announce our involvement in the very first edition of the CML’s Legal e-zine, edited by Tanfield.

  • Date: 21 Mar, 2016
  • In: Articles

The CML e-zine features articles on current legal topics and informative and current discussion of developments in the law of mortgages.

This first edition explores issues including:

  • Cost-budgeting
  • Mis-selling
  • New regulation affecting buy-to-let
  • Lender’s loss of security following forfeiture
  • FCA’s review of competition

The e-zines draw together articles from a number of specialist mortgage and property practitioners, and we are thrilled that this issue includes the contributions of both Carl Fain and James Fieldsend, from Tanfield Chambers.

Carl Fain talks you through what to do if a lease is forfeited by a court and the bank loses its security, in ‘Saving the Bank’s security after it is to late…’ while James Fieldsend discusses: ‘Can lenders avoid cost-budgeting?’

The CML is the main trade body representing UK mortgage lenders and Tanfield is proud to be part of the launch of the e-zine as we continue our close partnership.

Please do have a look at this first edition. We are sure it will prove a useful and interesting read.
