Sebastian Reid is an established member of Tanfield Chambers, practising mainly in Property and Family matters. He enjoys the wide experience of having learnt the many different aspects and types of advocacy and forensic skills that must be mastered as a barrister, having originally practiced as a criminal and general common law lawyer.

Sebastian believes that many of the cases of which he has special experience (commercial, business and property disputes) are well suited to the Bar’s Public Access scheme. As a result he is qualified to take on such cases from businesses and the general public.

Sebastian has a very personable attitude to his clients and they often comment on his sensible yet robust approach to his work.

Areas of expertise

Litigation concerning high value divorce cases and real property division between cohabiting partners and unmarried parents.

Sebastian has experience in litigation relating to all aspects of real property disputes, mortgages and trusts of land.

Sebastian has experience in the handling of disputes between former business partners and between suppliers and customers within litigation relating to housing, contractual disputes and general common law.
