Mattie Green

Mattie joined chambers in September 2021 following the successful completion of her pupillage. During pupillage, she gained a wide range of experience across Chambers’ practice areas.

Mattie accepts instructions in all areas of real property and landlord and tenant. Recent cases and advisory matters have included the following:

• Residential landlord and tenant, including possession proceedings, unlawful eviction, service charge disputes, disrepair, breach of covenant, tenancy deposit claims, and enfranchisement
• Commercial landlord and tenant, including forfeiture, Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 renewals, dilapidations, and breach of covenant
• Real property, including easements, restrictive covenants, and boundary disputes
• Mortgages, including receivers, consumer protection legislation and undue influence
• Charging orders
• Land registration
• Trusts of land
• Wills and probate
• Procedural matters, including jurisdiction and service

Mattie has also assisted on professional negligence claims in relation to high value development projects.

Prior to joining chambers, Mattie worked in the construction team at a London based law firm and gained experience in relation to high value mixed use and commercial developments, cladding disputes, adjudication, and contractual disputes.

Mattie began practising in April 2021 and has appeared in the County Court, High Court and the First-tier Tribunal. Having undertaken her pupillage during the pandemic, Mattie is comfortable with practice and procedure in both remote and in person hearings.
