Edward Blakeney joined Chambers in September 2018 upon the successful completion of his pupillage. He was supervised by Timothy Polli QC, Mark Loveday and Michael Walsh. During pupillage Edward gained experience in a wide range of cases including enfranchisement, service charge disputes, rights of first refusal, covenants, nuisance, licences, trespassers, undue influence and mortgage law.
Since April 2018 Edward has also been undertaking cases in his own right, including both advisory and court work. He has been instructed to appear in county courts and the High Court on a range of matters, and is developing a practice in all of Tanfield’s core practice areas. He is also currently instructed as a junior on a case being heard by the Supreme Court in October 2018.
Edward was called to the Bar in 2016 and is a Lord Denning Scholar at Lincoln’s Inn as well as having been awarded the Buchanan Prize upon completion of the BPTC.
During his spare time Edward enjoys learning languages, playing the violin and going to the theatre.
