12th Oct 2022, 09:30 to 18:00
With talk of a global recession and inflation on the rise, there may be trouble ahead. This conference, tailored exclusively to junior practitioners, will look at how property practitioners can best prepare to face the music in an economic downturn.
Our speakers will provide you with the know-how to deal with key recessionary themes, including mortgage and rent arrears, tenant insolvency and enforcement. Delegates will be able to choose from shorter sessions or more in-depth masterclasses, depending on the issues that may arise in their own practice.
As well as talks from our juniors, the event will also include an interactive panel discussion with our senior property barristers who will speak to the issues in property practice in previous recessions and the themes that they think may carry through to the present day.
Economic uncertainty can have a detrimental effect on workplace wellbeing. In a first for Tanfield we are delighted to be joined by Paul Pinder, solicitor and C-suite executive coach, who will deliver a coaching session on the skills junior solicitors need to maintain resilience in a downturn.
The ticket price includes breakfast, lunch and refreshments, as well as a post-conference drinks party.
Tickets are now available, email events@tanfieldchambers.co.uk to book your place.
The full programme is now available here.
Delegates will leave the conference equipped with the tools necessary to face practice in an uncertain economic landscape.
