Associate Mark Hoyle has been appointed by Gateley Plc

Dr Mark Hoyle has been appointed by Gateley Plc a leading law firm in Dubai as a specialist in a wide range of matters including construction, infrastructure projects, real estate, joint ventures and international trade, with a particular emphasis on cross border disputes. Mark joins the firm on November 1st from King & Wood Mallesons’ Dubai office where he was a partner specialising in commercial dispute resolution, particularly through international arbitration.

Dr Hoyle is an associate at Tanfield Chambers. Mark has over 25 years’ experience in advocacy, arbitration and mediation, and is a specialist in Arab and Islamic Law. Mark is a chartered arbitrator and has been as mediator since 2001, in private and court appointed mediations.

In England and Wales, Mark has made several court appearances including the High Court, Court of Appeal, and House of Lords. He has experience of dealing with a variety of different international construction cases including the Abu Dhabi Investment Company case and Consolidated Contractors litigation.

While Mark has considerable experience in major construction disputes in the UAE he is also cited in the directories for his work for major property developers, shipping and trade arbitrations throughout the region.

Chambers and Partners UAE has identified Mark as “an excellent disputes lawyer with a deep knowledge and experience of the MENA region”. Mark has presented himself well in court, writing articles as well as publishing books including the Freezing and Search Orders.
