Tanfield Chambers essay competition

Tanfield Chambers is pleased to announce the winner of the 2014 Essay Competition, which was run in partnership with BPP Law School.
The essay question was “What is a house?” The winning essay was that of Nikolaos Michalakis. Nikolaos wins a copy of Leasehold Enfranchisement: Law & Practice, which is co-authored by Piers Harrison and due to be published in June 2014, as well as the opportunity to undertake a mini-pupillage in chambers. The judges congratulate Nikolaos on his extremely well-researched review and excellent analysis of the law in this area, which has produced conflicting authorities and divided opinions in the appellate courts.
