Steven Walker to speak at forthcoming conference

Steven Walker will be speaking at the forthcoming international conference to welcome the commencement of the new Arbitration (Scotland) Act 2010.

The University of Edinburgh, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Faculty of Advocates and The Law Society of Scotland, in association with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, have joined together to organise the conference, which will be presented by some of the leading practitioners in Scotland and worldwide.

The conference will include an analysis of the key provisions of the Act:

• How it will be applied
• When to use it
• Why arbitration is a preferred remedy

The conference will be held on Wednesday, 23rd June 2010 between 9.30am and 6pm.
