Profile
Sarah practises exclusively employment law. Her clients include Claimants and Respondents and she has recently appeared before Employment Tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal and Court of Appeal. She undertakes both advocacy and advisory work and accepts instructions on a direct public access basis.
Her languages include German, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese and in recent years she has undertaken work placements with Mayer Brown (Frankfurt), Hammonds Hausmann (Paris), Hammonds Rossotto (Rome), Hammonds (Madrid) and Carlos Aguiar, Ferreira de Lima & Associados (Lisbon).
As a result she is able to advise foreign clients based in the UK or abroad in their language and can give initial advice on foreign law, if necessary with the help of her numerous contacts abroad.
Sarah has given seminars to solicitors in the UK and has been invited abroad to give talks to foreign lawyers on English employment law and European law. Recently she has given talks to the Italian and Spanish Employment Lawyers Associations, the European Employment Lawyers Association and the Academy of European Law.
Sarah regularly undertakes pro bono work, particularly as a volunteer at Latin American House, the French legal advice clinic ("Consultations Gratuites") and Islington Legal Advice Centre.
