Profile

Laura represents both Claimants and Respondents in all areas of employment law. She is professional, yet practical in her approach and remains empathetic to her clients and their needs. She remains calm and thrives under pressure, clients relish her ability to apply a firm demeanour when necessary.

Laura has a particular interest in stress at work claims and has undertaken related personal injury and disability discrimination claims in this area.

Experience

Laura has experience in a wide variety of Employment Tribunal cases including unfair dismissal, all types of discrimination, holiday pay, whistle blowing and TUPE issues. She also appears in the Employment Appeal Tribunal. Laura is often instructed to draft pleadings and advise on the merits of a claim. She is happy to discuss issues with those instructing at an early stage if required.

Laura speaks regularly at seminars and has also been involved with providing legal training to occupational health nurses and doctors.

Instructed by a multinational company to assist with reviewing their employment policies.
