Tanfield Chambers contains a growing and dynamic group of practitioners specialising in International Dispute Resolution.Particular specialisms within the group include:

- Energy sector disputes (exploration agreements, oil shipping and trading disputes)
- Public and private international law
- International commercial arbitration
- Enforcement of judgments and awards
- Interim and pre-action remedies including worldwide freezing orders
Members of the group have appeared in several recent high profile cases in the English Courts and have also been instructed in international arbitrations in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Arabian Gulf, and the Far East.
The group is used to advising on jurisdictional and procedural issues. Recent clients include sovereign states, state enterprises, publicly-listed companies, corporations of all sizes and individuals engaged in international trade.
Members work regularly as part of multi-jurisdictional legal teams and are accustomed to accepting instructions from the in-house legal departments of commercial organisations. Members also accept instructions from clients located outside the UK in accordance with the Bar Code of Conduct.
