Members of the group have also appeared in high profile cases in the English, Scottish, Singapore, New York and Cayman Islands Courts.

Many members of the group are recognised experts in the field of international arbitration and hold numerous academic appointments including Professor Richard Nowinski, visiting Professor in International Energy Law in the Higher School of Economic Moscow and is visiting lecturer in investment law arbitration St Petersburg University, Law Faculty, Professor Surya Subedi, Professor of international law at the University of Leeds, Adjunct Professor Tom Halket, Professor of international arbitration at Fordham Law School, New York, Steven Walker, Honorary Fellow and the Principal Lecturer on the LLM in International Arbitration at the University of Edinburgh, and member of the Global Academic Faculty of the Centre for Energy, Petroleum, Mineral Law and Policy, CEPMLP, University of Dundee. Tanfield has recently teamed up with international law firm Lovells and the University of Edinburgh to offer an arbitration intern programme for arbitration LLM students.
