William Holland specialises in family law, with an emphasis on ancillary relief.
Clients regularly comment on William’s sympathetic and accessible approach, whilst he remains firm in advising both lay and professional clients on what can be achieved from any litigation and the best way to go about doing so. He is courteous but determined at tribunals.
In the early days of his career at the Bar, William had a general common law practice particularly focusing in family, crime, housing and personal injury, where he gained familiarity with all tribunals from Magistrates Courts to the Court of Appeal.
William has specialised in family law since 1995.
Experience
Initially advisory and advocacy work for local solicitors in the area of the South Eastern Circuit and beyond on all aspects of general practice but mostly on family work.
Criminal practice included both prosecuting and defending offences in relation to children.
Since 1995 exclusively family litigation, advising and appearing for all parties in all types of family case, for instance wardship, care, private children work and divorce. Throughout his career the main emphasis has been – and remains – on ancillary relief following the breakdown of marriage.
