Profile

Simon Cheves has extensive experience in the employment field with particular emphasis on discrimination matters and issues relating to the transfer of undertakings. He is regularly involved in employment-related discrimination litigation in all its forms. He also regularly appears on behalf of Claimants and Respondents in cases involving unfair dismissal, redundancy, breach of contract and other associated issues e.g. working time, minimum wages, unlawful deductions and bonuses. He has acted on behalf of several commercial entities in relation to the outsourcing of local authority services. His practice involves both first instance and appellate jurisdictions.

Simon also has considerable experience in all aspects of clinical negligence and personal injury litigation. He has particular experience in medical accidents involving abdominal surgery, orthopaedics and obstetrics. His experience in personal injury litigation involves claims arising out of accidents at work, exposure to asbestos, road traffic accidents, Motors Insurers Bureau claims and occupiers liability including fatal accident claims.
