Profile
Laura specialises in Family and Employment Law, particularly focusing in children law and domestic violence cases.
Since becoming a member of the Tanfield Family Team in 2004, Laura has covered a wide range of complex children cases, acting for parents, children and local authorities. She has also provided local authority training on the Public Law Outline.
Laura has extensive experience of domestic violence (and associated enforcement) matters, acting for both applicants and respondents; she has delivered several lectures on the subject and has also appeared in the Court of Appeal on a successful appeal against sentence.
Having completed a common law pupillage involving a large proportion of education law, Laura practised criminal, family and education law for two years. On joining Tanfield Chambers, Laura became a specialist in children law and domestic violence cases.
