Kerstin has two broad areas of practice: Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence, and Family.
Personal Injury/Clinical Negligence
She has a specialist Personal Injury and clinical negligence practice.She is listed in the Legal 500 as a leading junior in both personal injury and clincial negligence/health care. She also heads up the Tanfield Personal Injury practice group. She undertakes work on behalf of both Claimant and Defendant in a wide variety of claims, including Road Traffic and highway claims, industrial disease, RSI, occupational stress and employer's liability generally.
She is regularly instructed on behalf of the London Fire Brigade in claims claims arising out of the workplace and recently represented the London Fire Brigade at the 7/7 inquest. She also undertakes defence work for Local Authorities dealing with accidents involving highways, schools and employers liability.
She has built up a strong practice in clinical negligence claims, dealing with a wide variety of claims on behalf of Claimants.
Family
Kerstin also has a strong reputation in family work with emphasis on matrimonial finance. She is regularly instructed in high value cases.
Experience
Personal Injury
- Has represented the London Fire Brigade at several Inquests, and dealt with resulting claims under the Fatal Accidents Act 1976
- Has extensive practice in employers liability claims, asbestos related claims, occupational stress/harassment and road traffic/highway claims

Clinical Negligence
Cases have included failure to diagnose haemochromatosis, mismanaged births, ruptured cervix, failure to supervise psychiatric in-patient, lack of informed consent, delayed diagnosis, cosmetic surgery and spinal injuries.
Family
- Has extensive experience in high value matrimonial finance involving businesses and cases requiring detailed analysis of finances
- Regularly deals with cases involving more limited assets where the search for resolution is often more challenging.
